I started The Big Brief to tell stories that don't get enough attention, especially from Northeast India. What began as curiosity about business and entrepreneurship slowly turned into a platform focused on the founders, ideas, industries, and cultural shifts shaping the region today.
Through interviews, articles, and conversations, I hope to make the Northeast feel more visible in discussions around innovation, finance, and growth.
My interest in business started early, reading articles about startups, companies, and entrepreneurs who were changing industries across India. But while consuming all that content, I noticed something strange: I almost never saw Assam or Northeast India being part of those conversations.
That disconnect stayed with me. Because around me, people were building businesses, solving problems, creating communities, and trying to grow despite limited visibility and opportunities.
The stories existed, they just weren't being told.
So in 2025, I started The Big Brief to document the people, ideas, businesses, and movements shaping the future of Northeast India. Through conversations around entrepreneurship, finance, innovation, and culture, the platform hopes to spotlight a region that has long been overlooked in mainstream media and business coverage.
Founders, startups, and the journeys behind building businesses in the Northeast.
Finance, investments, and economic stories relevant to the region.
New ideas, technologies, and creative problem-solving across industries.
